Well, let me tell you, I seen this here YSL Manhattan bag, and it’s somethin’ else. Remake, they call it. I ain’t never been one for them fancy names, but I gotta say, this bag, it’s got a look. Kinda like them city folk carry, but a little simpler, ya know? Not all them loud colors and shiny things. This one’s just…nice. And, buying it is a whole different story. Make you feel like a queen.
They got different sizes of this here YSL Manhattan bag. There is a small one. It’s about, oh, I’d say, 11.4 inches long and 7.8 inches tall, 2.9 inches wide, they told me. That ain’t big enough to carry much more than your lipstick and a couple of dollars, I reckon. Then there’s the YSL Manhattan Small Shopping Bag, a little bigger, 12.5” x 9.8” x 4.7”. That one will get you the money you need and some more. And, if you want a YSL Manhattan Medium Shopping Bag, you are looking at 15.7” x 11.6” x 6.1”. You can put a lot of stuff in that one.
This YSL, they’re big shots, I hear. Up there with all them other fancy brands, the ones you see in them glossy magazines. This here Manhattan bag, they started makin’ it back in 2019, so it ain’t brand spankin’ new, but it’s still got that new kinda look to it. Sleek, they call it. Like a greased piglet, but in a good way, if that makes any sense.
They say it’s named after some place called Manhattan. Some big city where nobody sleeps. I don’t know. Ain’t been there myself. But they say you can carry this bag day or night. Now, I don’t know why you’d be carryin’ a bag at night, seems like a good way to lose it, but that’s what they say. Made in Italy, too, wherever that is. Must be far, ’cause it sure does cost a pretty penny.
I heard some folks talkin’. One girl, she was all crazy about this here YSL Manhattan bag. But, she said it was too much money. She was lookin’ for somethin’ cheaper that looked kinda the same. I don’t know if you can find that, though. This bag, it’s kinda special, I think. The way it’s made, all straight and sturdy. Like a good fence post. She is looking for a shoulder bag, I think.
Another fella, he was sayin’ he was thinkin’ of purchasing this here bag. Said it was his first real fancy bag. He liked it ’cause it wasn’t all flashy with them big letters some bags got. Just plain and simple, but nice. He said it was elegant. That’s a big word. Means somethin’ like classy, I reckon. Elegant, this bag is.
Some folks wish YSL made more bags without them big ol’ logos. They like their style, though. Sharp, they say. Like a good knife. This one lady, she liked this YSL Manhattan bag better than some other fancy bag, a Birkin. Said it was ’cause you could wear it across your body. And it had a handle on top, too. Handy, I guess, if you like to carry your bag different ways. The crossbody is useful, for sure.
This YSL Manhattan bag, they say it’s sophisticated. Another one of them big words. And “urban chic.” That means it’s stylish for the city, I reckon. It’s got that shape, you know, like a box, kinda. They call it structured. Like I said, like a good, strong fence post.
There’s a small size, too. The YSL Small Manhattan bag is 24cm x 17.5cm x 6cm. Or, if you like them inches, 9.4″ x 6.7″ x 2.4″. That’s what they told me. Not too big, not too small. Just right for some folks, I suppose. If you are like me, the bigger one is better.
You can buy this YSL Manhattan Leather Shoulder Bag at some fancy store, Bloomingdale’s, they call it. They say you can buy it online, too. Or go to the store and pick it up. I don’t know about all that internet stuff. Seems easier to just go to the store and look at it yourself. But that’s just me.
