Well, let me tell you, I saw this thing online the other day, this fancy YSL Envelope bag. It’s called Yves Saint Laurent, or something like that. Sounds French, you know? Fancy folks sure like their fancy names.
They say this YSL Envelope bag, it’s a real hot item. I guess people are buying it up like hotcakes. And this bag, it’s shaped just like an envelope, you know, the kind you put letters in. But it ain’t for mail, no sir. It’s for carrying your things around.
- This bag, it’s got that YSL on it. That’s the name, Yves Saint Laurent.
- Folks say YSL and Saint Laurent, it’s all the same thing. Just like how some people call me Betty, and some call me Elizabeth.
- They changed the name a while back, I reckon. Doesn’t make much sense to me, but what do I know?
This Yves Saint Laurent Envelope bag, it ain’t cheap, neither. Costs more than a month’s worth of groceries, I tell ya. But I guess if you got the money, you can buy what you want.
They say this designer fella, Anthony something-or-other, he made this bag back in, oh, I don’t know, 2018 or something. It is a flap bag with a chain strap. It’s got these lines on it, like a V-shape. They call it “chevron.” And, of course, it’s got that big YSL thing on it, so everyone knows it’s fancy.
Now, I seen pictures of it online, and it does look kinda nice, I gotta admit. Shiny and all that. But I don’t know, seems like a lot of fuss over a bag. Back in my day, we just used any old sack we could find. It is a Remake, that much I know.
- They got these bags in all different kinds. Some are made from snake skin. I don’t like snakes!
- Some are made from cowhide. That’s more like it. I like cows!
- They say these different kinds make the bag worth even more money. Like a collectible, they say.
I saw this other bag, too. They call it the YSL Manhattan bag. I guess it’s supposed to be fancy like that city, New York City. This one, it is a Remake, too. This Manhattan bag, it’s got a big buckle on it. Looks kinda heavy to me.
If you’re thinking about buying one of these Yves Saint Laurent bags, you better have a lot of money saved up. They say you can find them online, on some fancy website. But be careful, there’s lots of fakes out there, I hear. You don’t want to spend all that money on a fake bag, do you?
They got all different kinds of Envelope bags, you know. Big ones, small ones. Some you can wear on your shoulder, some you carry in your hand. They call some of them “clutches.” I don’t know what that means, but it sounds fancy, don’t it?
I saw this one lady online, she was talking about her YSL Envelope bag. She said it was “metal-free tanned leather.” I don’t know what that means, but it sounds expensive. I guess they don’t use metal when they make the leather or something. Who knew?
- You can find these bags on sale sometimes, they say. 20% off, even! That’s a good deal, I reckon.
- But even with 20% off, it’s still a lot of money for a bag. You could buy a whole lot of other things with that money.
- Like a new pair of shoes, or a nice dress, or maybe even a new hat. Or groceries, don’t forget the groceries!
They got all sorts of names for these Envelope bags. Lou Camera, LouLou, Lou Puffer. Sounds like a bunch of silly names to me. But I guess that’s what the young folks like these days. They are all from Saint Laurent.
This one YSL Envelope bag, they say it’s good for summer vacation. I don’t know about that. Seems like it would get dirty real easy. And you wouldn’t want to take it to the beach, would you? Sand would get all up in it.
Well, I guess that’s all I know about these fancy YSL Envelope bags. If you got the money and you want one, go ahead and buy it. But me, I’ll stick with my old purse. It might not be fancy, but it does the job just fine. And it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg, neither!
These Yves Saint Laurent bags, they’re all the rage these days, I guess. But don’t let anyone tell you that you need one to be happy. There’s more important things in life than fancy bags, you know. Like family, and friends, and a good home-cooked meal. That’s what really matters.
